Amazon discontinued the ability to create images using their SiteStripe feature and in their infinite wisdom broke all previously created images on 12/31/23. Many blogs used this feature, including this one. Expect my archives to be a hot mess of broken book cover images until I can slowly comb through 20 years of archives to make corrections.

Reminder: #TBRChallenge Day is June 21

Hey, hey, hey the sixth #TBRChallenge of 2023 is fast approaching! The magic day is Wednesday, June 21 and this month's (always) optional theme is Love is Love.

Another theme suggestion born out of the survey I ran late last year. I'd be lying if I said I didn't see this theme and immediately think it would be ideal for June, which is also Pride Month.  I also think this theme could be spun out in other ways, such as a neurodivergent main character or a romance that colors outside the lines when it comes to traditional gender roles.

That being said, remember that the themes are completely optional.  The goal of the challenge has been, and always will be, to read something (anything!) that's been languishing in your mountain range of unread books.

It's never too late to join the Challenge! To learn more about it and to see a list of folks participating head on over to the information page

In a fit of "what is time?", I panicked and read my choice last Sunday.

(then, it took me three more days to write a review, because gah, what is words?, but it's now done and scheduled)

AL: I'm still in a slump. A slump that basically consists entirely of "I don't feel like reading. Anything." But at least the TBR Challenge has come along to sort of force my hand. I'm at 50% on my pick, and here's hoping I finish it tonight and can type/schedule a review tomorrow.
