Reminder: #TBRChallenge Day is August 17!

Hey, hey, hey it's that time of the month again - #TBRChallenge time! The next Challenge is set for Wednesday, August 17.  This month's (always) optional theme is Blue Collar.

This was another suggestion that came out of the theme poll I ran last year, and implies character occupation. Billionaires, lawyers, CEOs need not apply. We're looking for mechanics, carpenters, plumbers - folks who get a little dirt under their fingernails for a living. Hero, heroine? Either or!

However, the themes are completely optional. Sometimes unearthing a book out of your TBR based on character occupation is a tall order. Remember the goal of the challenge has been, and always will be, to read something (anything!) that's been languishing in your mountain range of unread books. The themes are just for fun 😉

It's not too late to participate in this year's Challenge!  If you're interested or you just want to follow along with those participating, be sure to check out the TBR Challenge 2022 Information Page

Running through book blurbs, and I'm at the point where, "not a duke, not a billionaire" is the closest I get to blue collar for the hero; I can't really find any blue collar heroines, other than a smoke jumper (but the blurb for that one really doesn't appeal right now, plus I think he's wealthy, so...)

I'll keep looking, lord knows I have hundreds of titles in the print TBR cordillera alone!

AL: I found a SuperRomance in my pile that had a carpenter hero, but something on the back cover blurb (what was it? no clue!) had me deciding I "wasn't in the mood right now." So instead I fudged a bit and went with a military hero. Which doesn't necessarily mean blue collar but whatever, my challenge - I'm calling it good LOL
