Reminder: #TBRChallenge Day is March 16

Hey, hey, hey it's that time of the month again - #TBRChallenge time! The next Challenge is set for Wednesday, March 16.  This month's (always) optional theme is Grumpy.

This is a new theme that was suggested during last year's poll. Grumpy hero? Grumpy heroine? Or in my case - maybe it's Grumpy reader? See what direction this theme takes you off in.

But what if you don't like to read about grumpy people? Or the only grumpy person you can deal with in your life is yourself? 😂 No matter, remember the themes are completely optional.  The goal of the challenge has been, and always will be, to read something that's been languishing in your mountain range of unread books.

It's not too late to sign up for this year's Challenge!  If you're interested or you just want to follow along with those participating, be sure to check out the TBR Challenge 2022 Information Page

The book is read (pretty last minute, but IT COUNTS!). Now struggling to write the review--good lord, these used to flow, once upon a time. Now it's like pulling teeth.

With tweezers.

I hear you, Az. The last couple reviews I wrote were so hard and felt subpar to me.

I had fun with my selection, the heroine is GRUMPY (because a demon is trying to kill her. LOL)

AL: I just wrote my review and...yeah.

Jen: I had to do some homework for this theme and had a list of roughly half a dozen titles in the TBR that fit - even a couple with grumpy heroines. But alas, my current romance slump had me going with the shortest book on the list - so grumpy hero it was!

For grumpy heroines, I recommend Stephanie Laurens. Laurens' heroine's ubiquitous "humph" makes me imagine "Resting B1tch Face."

Catriona humphed and swung about...

He capped the words with one of his teasing smiles, and was rewarded with one of her humphs...

She humphed. "That's all very well, but—"...

She searched his face, then humphed and sank back...

"Your cellars sound quite fascinating."
She humphed.
