I am SOOOOOOO glad you beat the Yankees!!!!!
Do me a favor ok? If St. Louis gets into the World Series---kill them in 4 games. Thanks! :)

My hate for the Cardinals go way back to 1982--when the Brewers lost to them in the World Series (Brewers were AL then). Then last year (now that we are NL) we played them in the playoffs and they beat us and went to the World Series and won again.

It looks like they are going to make it again--so please, please beat them for me :)

Congratulations to your Tigers! That's so exciting, especially since I can hardly stand the Yankees (Derek Jeter not included).

Woot! Yankees elimination day is always like Christmas, but when they're swept by the Tigers it's like Christmas, my birthday and at least one other holiday (one of the really good ones) all rolled into one.

Go Tigers!!!!!!!

I thought of you the minute I heard the Tigers got it. I've been a Tigers fan since 1984 so I'm very happy too (though I still love my Twins).

Of course I thought of you--the only thing I know of baseball is that Wendy loves her Tigers and despairs when they don't do so well.

Well, here's the payoff for all that loyalty. Congrats, Wendy!

I was in Detroit giving a workshop when the Tigers beat those !@#$ Yankees. I thought of two people--my father-in-law who worked in Detroit as a young man (pre WWII) and loved going to see the Tigers. He remained a Tigers (and Cubs) fan the rest of his life. He's smiling down now. In a horrible year for the Cubs its good that HIS TEAM beat the hated Yankees.
AND, I thought of you and your suffering along with the team. I"m happy for you.

Yes indeedy, it's exciting times here at the Bat Cave. Now here's hoping we put on a better show in the World Series than we did in 2006!
