The Particulars: Historical romance, Kensington Zebra, 1999, Out of Print
The Blurb:
HE WAS HER WILD CARD...Is It In Wendy's TBR?: Nope. Just goes to show I don't own every western romance ever published.
As the feisty owner of the Silver Goose Saloon, Samantha was the best woman card player on the Mississippi. But ever since she'd been falsely accused of cheating, she vowed never to gamble again-that is until a poker-faced devil from her past threatened to reveal her true identity. Now Samantha was ready to risk all in the game of her life, but she hadn't counted on Blackjack Reid Sinclaire's striking blue eyes following her every move from across the table. Could she stake her heart on a player who might have an ace up his sleeve?
SHE WAS HIS QUEEN OF HEARTS...
Blackjack Reid Sinclaire had come to Natchez with one burning desire-to get revenge on Cord Rydelle, Samantha's partner at the saloon and the man responsible for killing his true love. Believing rumors that Samantha was Cord's mistress, Reid was determined to destroy his old enemy by seducing the redheaded temptress. But when he entered a game of cards against her, he soon discovered the tables were turned. He'd fallen for Samantha, and now he would gamble body and soul to win her...
Any Reviews?: The only reviews I could find were three Amazon customer reviews - two of which were scathing and the other one from a reader who declared it "wasn't that bad." I tend to patently ignore all Amazon customer reviews, but far be it from me to keep the wealth away from Bat Cave readers.
Anything Else?: I'll be honest, I'm shallow and posted this one for the yummy hotness that is the cover. The back cover blurb makes the plot (and characters) sound like a hot mess, but dang - that cover = yummers!

Hmmmm - you and me both! I've never heard of this book or this author. But the blurb makes it sound interesting and it is a nice cover.
The hero is out to seduce his enemy's mistress to get revenge on the man? Niiiiiice. I'm guessing that because she's supposedly the bad guy's girl, it's okay to use her that way. Never mind that she had nothing to do with his true love's death, right? I read a HP similar to this (just to say I did it) and had to pick it up from near the wall a few times. Sorry, but a**hat heroes don't work for me, even if they feel bad later.
Kristie: Biggs wrote a few books for Zebra in the mid-late 1990s, and then totally dropped off the map.
Cathy: I'm shallow and think the cover is purdy - but yeah, going on the back cover blurb, I'm thinking this book would drive me insane if I actually tracked down a copy to try to read. Revenge plots very, very, very rarely work for me.
I'll agree with you and Kristie(J) about the cover, it is pretty. But I hope before they go any further the couple moves off the poker table. Don't want the felt...um...damaged : P
Wouldn't it be great if there was a cover like that where the hero was standing between the heroine's legs? Let's just call a spade a spade and have 'em moments away from doin' it!
Cathy: Or a poker chip to end up in an uncomfortable place. Ha!
Zoe: Heeee, I think those covers are now happening over at Ellora's Cave. Seriously. I've seen some recent covers from them that have been eye-popping!
I'm late in commenting on this but I love the cover too. The male kind of reminds me of Robert Fuller (Wagon Train, Laramie, Emergency!) in his westerns!
Lynn: Ooooh, he kinda does! I think it might be the hair...
