He’ll do anything to persuade his muse to pose for him, even if he must offer her a marriage of convenience.After all, though Teddy has yearned to trace Stella’s luminous beauty on canvas since their chance meeting, her heart is what he truly aches to capture….

The fourth book in the author's Knights of Anarchy series features a heroine hiding her true motives and a hero who takes her captive when she discovers his plans. I love that this series is set during The Anarchy and I really need to read Book 1....

Being maudlin right along with you: I'm so incredibly thankful to you, Wendy, for hanging on, and doing these posts and the TBR Challenge every month, year after year. ::clings::
ReplyDelete::clears throat, blinks away tears::
Unusual historicals for this month: I have the first two already waiting to be read, and have made plans to get the Willingham (I need to start reading the ones I have in the TBR first), but now I desperately need The Scandalous Widow for my own!
AL: I scored an ARC of the Emily Sullivan, so of course it's languishing right now. I've been terrible with eye-ball reading lately. I'm hoping I can find the spoons over the long holiday weekend.
DeleteI am right there with you, Wendy -- I want the widow to be truly scandalous!! I'm scared to find out, but I can't resist. Thanks for bringing this one to our attention.
ReplyDeleteAnd collected Carla Kelly Christmas shorts? My FB book group is going to go wild!
Thanks for keeping up the blog; please know that it's appreciated more than many of us remember to say as often as we should.
SonomaLass: OOOOH, please tell me you knew about the new Kelly Christmas collection that came out last month? Regency Glad Tidings. All new - no reprints!
DeleteI was doing better, until this past month. Some days are okay, and some are rock-in-the-corner days. But THANK YOU for continuing to blog and run the TBR challenge. I'm a dinosaur and I still enjoy the traditional blogs.
ReplyDeleteMy review partner LOVED The Muse of Maiden Lane by Mimi Matthews. I need to give it a try. I have two historicals on my list for this month (Elizabeth Hoyt and Anna Harrington), but neither are too unusual.
Jen: I also have the Hoyt and the Harrington waiting in my own TBR. Sigh - keeping any sort of reading momentum has been hard for me this past year. Here's hoping I'm a bit better with consistency in 2025.
