I wasn't wild about the woo-woo, but I know that's "my hang-up" and I was able to roll with it. The story is good, the history is good, Lyon can write - but man....the heroine. Right now I'm in a bit of a slump, and I've only read 4 books in October. 2 Bs, 1 C and 1 D.

Kristie: 98% of my issues with this story can be laid on the heroine's doorstep. You definitely should read it still. The story is good, the history is good, and the hero is mucho wounded. I'm still going to read this one and see if I grade it the same though - if only for the fact that I've really enjoyed the two books that I have by this author - and to support a mid list author - they have a tough enough time of it in these current economic times.Kristie (J)http://www.blogger.com/profile/15743921647882733738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-350052669699480502.post-9066105129830434622009-10-31T07:07:04.734-07:002009-10-31T07:07:04.734-07:00Hey Wendy, what's with the C's and D's...Hey Wendy, what's with the C's and D's reviews lately? And it's not only yourself, the ladies at DA and SBTB have been giving a lot of unfavourable grades.
The only books I've seen which received a few A's and a bit more B's are Paranormal/UF/Fantasy (which I'm slowly getting into thanks to The Book Smugglers).Araninoreply@blogger.com
