In that way, there's something magical in Medeiros' style. With other authors I might DNF the book - but with her I keep reading.

Willaful: INORITE?! I would have totally LOVED this 10 years ago. I so need to do a thorough purge of the print TBR.

Jennifer #2: I liked Yours Until Dawn and The Bride and the Beast - but both had "issues." Still, fun reads that I enjoyed while I was reading them.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12485867264936716806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-350052669699480502.post-69413517438810269292015-09-16T20:26:08.936-07:002015-09-16T20:26:08.936-07:00I read this book quite recently as it was on sale....I read this book quite recently as it was on sale. I agree with your comments regarding the quality of the writing - even though some parts of the story did grate, I enjoyed reading it. I haven't read any other books by Teresa Medeiros, but if her other books are as well written, I may try more.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10526953181264398035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-350052669699480502.post-66461849088343048972015-09-16T11:16:47.349-07:002015-09-16T11:16:47.349-07:00That "aw man, I bet I would have really liked...That "aw man, I bet I would have really liked this if only..." feeling is the worst part of the TBR challenge. And a message to me to read the damn books when I first want to read them!willafulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17201963128584310884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-350052669699480502.post-15837458128209574792015-09-16T08:26:44.844-07:002015-09-16T08:26:44.844-07:00This was a very thoughtful review. Of course, if I re-read it, I would probably find the same issues so I will be avoiding that anytime soon. This book did feel like it took major time and effort to put together and I appreciated it. Teresa Medeiros has an entertaining writing style that keeps me going even if I am not the biggest fan of the plot or characters. My personal favorite of hers is Yours Until Dawn, which is problematic as well, but so damn addicting to me!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03717325098424976925noreply@blogger.com
