Amazon discontinued the ability to create images using their SiteStripe feature and in their infinite wisdom broke all previously created images on 12/31/23. Many blogs used this feature, including this one. Expect my archives to be a hot mess of broken book cover images until I can slowly comb through 20 years of archives to make corrections.

For the librarian who has everything, behold! The Fisher Price Super Friends Bat Cave! It's got a working draw bridge and comes with a grappling hook. It also comes with a neato Batcycle. What it doesn't have is a library. I mean, I know Wayne Manor must have a library, but I'm guessing it's full of musty ol' leather bound editions. Uh, not romance novels. Bruce Wayne is pretty awesome, but something tells me he doesn't have Harlequins in his library. Oh well, no man is perfect.

Many thanks to one of my longtime Internet buds, Barbs, for the link. Oh to be a kid again....

Ever wish you could jet off to sunny southern California and hang out with the fabulous babes that are the SoCalBloggers? Do you get pea green with envy when you read about our get-togethers at area bookstores and restaurants? Do you curse our very existence when we admit that we were all lazy sods and none of us took any pictures? Well wonder now more! Because here is artist Vinnie Tartamella's amazing life-like rendition. Yes, this is what it's really like!

As the resident Batgirl, I have to say that I normally don't look that snotty. My guess? Hey, I like poker, but where for the love of God is the cheesecake?!?!?!

Thanks to Big Sis for posting this gem on her Facebook.

My 4-year-old has the Batcave and it's one of his favorite toys. One of my favorites, too, because it's provided me many hours of uninterrupted reading time ;) I can confirm that the's no library in the set, but perhaps Batman reads on the Kindle for Bat PC? It does have a working elevator and a soundproof chamber which are both very cool.

Hahaha!!! We do kinda look like that some days, don't we? (and yes, we're all superheroes!)

WOW! I didn't know you played cards during your get togethers!

Hmm, why is Batgirl's boobs covered??? She looks like a nun compared to the rest of 'em!

Hannah: That's a good point! Batman might be reading ebooks - what with all those computer monitors he tends to have in the Bat Cave.

Lori: I thought the artist did a credible job capturing our likenesses :)

Goddess: Batgirl believes that less is more :)

Eh, Batman's too busy fighting crime to read anything. He has a library, it's just full of porn because splitting his time between being Bruce Wayne and being Batman he has no time for real relationships.

However, he does disguise his porn as dusty, leather bound tomes.

Oh, BTW, that OC Idol thing - I won. But more important, we raised $1,700 for the United Way.

Nath: Hmmmm, Robin might be the next best thing to my own private cabana boy....

Jami: WOOHOO! Congrats on the Idol win! That is WAY awesome!
