Amazon discontinued the ability to create images using their SiteStripe feature and in their infinite wisdom broke all previously created images on 12/31/23. Many blogs used this feature, including this one. Expect my archives to be a hot mess of broken book cover images until I can slowly comb through 20 years of archives to make corrections.

Walkabout And Resurrection

My guest post for the fine folks with Unleash Your Story is up today. What am I talking about? The immense joy I get from my insane TBR Mountain Range. Yep, it's not all anxiety, cold night sweats and bitter angry tears. Stop on by, have a read, and leave a comment.

++++++++++

In other happy, happy fun news - one of my very favorite bloggers has poked her head out of the vortex she got sucked into. That's right kiddies - Tara Marie has posted on her blog! Go over, comment, tell her how much you love her, offer her bribes to keep blogging - anything! She used to be extremely prolific, and frankly one of my very favorites. And honestly? Isn't it about keeping me happy?

You're too much. Though bribes would be fine--LOL

I'm so thrilled TM stuck her head out. She really has been missed. Schmuck that I am, I'm just catching with the Great Western Drive stuff you guys did.

Really awesome job! I consider myself a western fan and you had some recs I'd not heard about, so that's good news for me!

1,263! Are ye mad woman? I thought you were exaggerating when you said your TBR pile could be seen from space. Uh, not really.

I've heard some impressive numbers for TBR piles, but Wendy, yours beats them all. I'm sure there's a lady with house full of cats and old newspapers stacked to the ceiling who can beat you, but it'll be a close contest.

I'm one of those weirdos who don't believe in TBR piles, because anything that stays in there longer than a month starts to 'smell' and for some reason, I don't want to read it anymore. Do you think you'll ever get through them all someday?

Hiya Natalie!

TM: I'm sooooo glad you're coming up for air. I missed you!

Rosie: It was exhausting putting it all together, but projects like this work best when you "partner" with other bloggers. I think anyway. The Great Western Drive wouldn't have been half as successful if it was only lil' ol' me doing it. Kristie and Sybil helped tremendously!

Rebecca: If I'm lyin' I'm dying. Honestly, various freebies I get at conferences, along with my Harlequin addiction is a big chunk of it.

I do go through and do some weeding. Authors that I managed to collect who I discover "don't work for me." Harlequins featuring tropes I'm burnt out on. Sub genres I'm burnt out on.

And I know it's hard to believe given the sheer number of books I own, I'm pretty well organized. Honestly. One very large book case and a couple of Rubbermaid totes. That's it.

As if I think I'll be able to read them all some day? Ha! Oh to be independently wealthy and not have to work for a living.....
