Amazon discontinued the ability to create images using their SiteStripe feature and in their infinite wisdom broke all previously created images on 12/31/23. Many blogs used this feature, including this one. Expect my archives to be a hot mess of broken book cover images until I can slowly comb through 20 years of archives to make corrections.

Libraries: Better Living Through Advertising!

One of my longtime e-mail buds sent me these commercial clips for the Alberta Library. I heart Canadians. I really do.

Those are awesome.

I love my library. I really do. Columbus Met has been atop the Herndon rankings twice now this decade. I know some librarians don't like that ranking system, but dang, there's nothing I can't get there.

I don't know - they're showing if you check out books you'll end up suffering from all sorts of problems. Seems more like these ads are anti-library.

Phyl: Ohio has some of the best libraries in the country - largely due to the fact that y'all have an active state library.

Jami: Well if you look at it that way - the commercials are more anti-book than anti-library. Don't read anything or bad stuff will happen to you!
