Amazon discontinued the ability to create images using their SiteStripe feature and in their infinite wisdom broke all previously created images on 12/31/23. Many blogs used this feature, including this one. Expect my archives to be a hot mess of broken book cover images until I can slowly comb through 20 years of archives to make corrections.

Soon We Will Be Together My Pet...

Oh, thank the Lord! My favorite trashy TV show is back on tonight. Yes, that would be Nip/Tuck. That means quality time drooling over that hunky Julian McMahon. (Don't feel sorry for The Boyfriend. There's plenty of T&A for him too!) Big, long, lusty sigh here. How I love that man. OK, so I don't actually know him - but since when is that a requirement for a crush?

I think one reason I adore Nip/Tuck so much (besides the complete trashiness of course) is that McMahon's character, Dr. Christian Troy, feeds into my J.R. Ewing fixation. He's morally bankrupt. He has the ethics of an alley cat. He's the poster boy for why women should stay far away from men that good-looking. However, he has his moments. Just when you think he's totally unredeemable he shows that deep down, there is a fraction of his soul that is "good." He is capable of love. He is capable of being "nice." He just chooses to be dirt bag most of the time. All that, and easy on the eyes. What more could a girl ask for? Oh yeah, Larry Hagman is guest starring this season! See, it all comes full circle.

Damn, I loved him on Charmed! The show wasn't the same after he left. :(

I've only caught Nip/Tuck a couple times (airs at the wrong time for me for some reason), but I liked what I saw! grrrrrr

I remember the first time I saw Nip/Tuck. I sat there in amazement at what they were showing on regular TV. I think it was the threesome between the two doctors and the hooker. My jaw was sore by the end of that episode I tell you from having dropped open for so long.

I don't watch the show but you guys are scaring me. My 16 year old son loves it. Guess I better check it out.

P.S. Wendy I read the McKade book and loved it! Picked it up just on your review. Thanks.

Yeah, you might want to watch it with him. Every kid is different - I mean my mother let me watch Dallas and I wasn't a teenager yet. Watching reruns years later I was shocked - I mean J.R. called Sue Ellen a slut!!! My mother was either very liberal or very tired (she worked the night shift so I expect the latter).

And glad you liked the McKade book! Go Team Wendy!

McMahon was also on the short-lived show The Profiler back in the late 1990s. I loved that show for about the first season then they decided to "lighten it up" and Ally Walker left. Bye-bye Wendy and eventually the show was cancelled.
